Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma Judy's house. First Uncle Rick made gingerbread boys and had the boys help him decorate them.

Here they proudly display their work.

Then Grandma let the boys dump out an entire box of packing peanuts and let them pretend like it was snowing.

Do you think there is any way that she should would ever let me do this as a child? Not a chance. I can't wait to be a grandma and be able to have the patience and luxury of indulging the children with out repercussions. :-)

Nativity Babies

As a gift to my husband's parents for Christmas, I took photos of all their grandchildren as characters in the Nativity and then made a book with the words to one of favorite Christmas songs as the text. Here are the photos I ended up using.
Mary and Joseph
Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus
The Wisemen...er, and Wisepeople.

See what I mean?

I walked into the kitchen and this was what I found...

I told him that yogurt was not paint, took away the paint...er, yogurt cup, turned to get the paper towels ,and he immediately climbed into the next chair and dug both hands into Nathanael's abandoned jello-and-fruit cup.
Sigh... I swear someday I won't have to wipe him down 12 times a day.

Why blog?

My friend Sheryl started this blogging idea with me. She and I often get ideas into eachothers heads- it usually turns out okay though.

My friends, but more often my mother, will hear me tell them something funny the boys did and they'll say "Did you take pictures?" and I'll say "But of course", then they'll say "I want to see them sometime" and I'll say "Sure"- but then I never do. It's just not easy to email a whole series of photos of Joseph painting the kitchen with yogurt or filling the toilet with bathroom items. I just store thousands of photos in my computer. But thanks to this new blog I can share these little gems with all my family and friends...if you visit the blog.

One more thing. Will you post comments? It will show me that you've visited and that I'm not just working on this blog fer nuffin.

Babe In Boysland

So...here's our blog. Well, it's my blog, I don't think Jeff will be posting things much. Does anyone know what blog means? I mean, it says "log", like a captains log- which is a journal. But why the "b" in front? Why not E-log? Like everything else you do on a computer, like Email. Or why not T-log because you Type it? Or how about Olog because you do it Online? I dunno.

It may sound weird for me to refer to myself as a "babe" in Boysland, but Jeff came up with that name (he was joking, but I liked it). I can't guarantee it will be awesome, or original, or earth shaking and profound; but I can guarantee that I'll post pictures. That's really why I look at blogs, or Ologs, so that's what I offer.
